Mid century black candle holder

A perfect example of mid century modern design. This black metal candle holder has the lines of an Eames chair, the quality of Saarinen, and the style of Scandinavian furniture.

May have been repainted at some point in his life. (See photos.) From the estate of a wood carver and collector in Mattapoisett, Massachusetts.
